Our new venture - Third Kind Games Poland 🇵🇱

Today we are so excited to announce that we are starting a new adventure with Third Kind Games Poland!

As an independent studio, this feels like a huge step for us as we go global. The new team in Poland will start remotely, but in the future we will have a physical hub in Poland too. We envision the Poland arm of Third Kind Games to be an agile engineering powerhouse to support our project delivery for clients, as well as our own IP (under development in top-secret Area 51).

Sylwester Zaluga, one of our Co-Founders at Third Kind Games, will be heading up the studio as Technical Director, along with Darren Bowen, another of our Co-Founders and Director, as Chief Operating Officer.

This is a big milestone for Third Kind Games, especially considering that we’ve only just celebrated our 5th birthday, since our founding in 2016. We’re very much open to seeing how the Poland studio develops as we tap into the huge amount of talent in the game development industry over there. We’ll initially be focusing on programming talent, but we could add artists and designers as we grow.

It feels like a real opportunity for us to build a team in Europe and mirror our Third Kind Games culture in our sister studio. We’ll be exporting all the best bits of Third Kind Games and using our culture to help our new Third Kind Games colony get off the ground in the best possible way.

We’re also going to try and do things a little bit differently out there.

Sylwester, one of the key players at Third Kind Games to get our Poland venture off the ground, shared his thoughts:

“There can be a real crunch culture in Poland (and the industry in general), so we want to bring our realistic attitude that focuses on outcomes rather than just outputs, alongside our AAA projects and experience.”

Darren, COO of Third Kind Games Poland, said:

“We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter for Third Kind Games. We’re looking forward to bringing some of our Third Kind culture to the thriving games industry in Poland, with a creative and relaxed approach while still delivering industry-leading games.”

As we mentioned above, the games industry in Poland is definitely one we feel is full of potential opportunity. With over 440 games devs over there, hiring almost 10,000 people, this feels like a very exciting place to be.

Over the next year we’ll be building a talented team in our Poland studio. It’ll be a unique opportunity for those in the Polish games industry who are looking for a new challenge to work with an incredibly experienced team and some one-of-a-kind projects.
